This spring family was developed specifically for RWD drift cars, with distinct front and rear characteristics to make suspension tuning easier for different track surfaces and driving styles. Yokomo leaves these springs unpainted to preserve the spring material’s natural performance characteristics.

Front Direct Type – D-177
Designed for quick steering response and strong front tire contact. Yokomo describes the coarse-wound design as providing sharp response while helping maintain front grip during higher-speed entries.

Rear Forward Type – D-178
Designed to emphasize forward traction and acceleration from the rear of the car. This is the rear option to use when you want more forward drive coming out of a corner. Yokomo lists it as the dedicated Rear Forward Type spring.

Rear Side-Grip Type – D-179
Designed to increase lateral rear grip and provide smoother control through technical corners and tandem driving. Yokomo identifies this as its dedicated Rear Side-Grip Type spring.
